Our Story

“The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is now.” — Chinese proverb 

For years my husband and I have dreamed of growing big gardens and raising all the animals a farm could handle. In the years of searching for land and a place to grow our farm, we had two babies, who are, well, not really babies anymore! We have a 2-year-old sassy little lady, Opal Jane and her protective big brother, 4-year-old Silas Henry. Together, we love to grow whatever we can, spending our summers tending the garden and digging in the dirt for worms. There is truly nothing like growing a garden with your family! Then after months of fun, the dark, cold days of winter hit and it is hard to grow things outside. My husband Eli discovered microgreens years ago and we started growing them for ourselves; it quickly began to fill the winter gap in our growing season with fresh, green, rich life! After a few years of perfecting our operation, we thought we would share these little powerhouse plants with everyone! We believe that we were designed to live a more intentional and self-sustaining life. To grow what we can, to support local farmers, crafters, bakers, etc. To live life filled with joy in the simple things and hard things. To work hard and lead our kids by example. Most importantly we believe that God brings life to all things.
